This is a beautiful large wall climbing with spots of trad but dominantly sport climbing. I would recommend a 70m rope when heading there as some routes you will defiantly need it. The big walls are fairly easy to find but the quarry is a little more hidden, a simple guide book of the area should provide a map and there are a few maps dotted around but if you follow the long path up a hill, through a gate and turn right at the ruined castle and follow a little mountain bike course you'll find a wall, follow it as far left until you reach a gate. there is a nesting restriction placed by the BMC for the Red and Black wall from the 1st of May until the 30th of June (they have signs up if i'm wrong on the dates) but in all this is an absolutely lovely area, great for learners of sport and the experienced ready to pull on some hard grades. Also, its a lovely place for mountain biking if you have a space in the car.
