Wedge Mountain, NEB
Wedge mtn is the highest peak in the Garibaldi range at apx: 9500 ft. The ridge is very enjoyable with a stellar view and steepens as it meets the headwall. If you wish to descend the way you came go early. Go early either way as the steep section is best done when the snow is firm. I know of at least one person who's been severely injured attempting this route late in the day. There are many camp sites near Wedgemont lake. We descended from Wedge via the West side on sloping scree onto a small glacier and navigated on lower terrain around Parkhurst mtn for the parkhurst Rethal Col. It might be possible to make it through the Parkhurst Wedge Col down onto the glacier then from there back but we chose the former because we knew the terrain better. Either way there is a lot of steep terrain to descend and rockfall hazard is high. Given a second chance, I might have elected to go earlier and descend via the ridge instead. The route we took was also very time consuming. The terrain around Wedge is very prominent and can be misleading. Some features that seem easily navigable are not and there were a few features especially an extra glacial cirque that made our descent interesting. Have a map and do a good recce.
